I was a project manager for 20 years and was not successful in finding a position as a Project Manager for a year. After attending JagTag Enterprises Career Change workshop, I decided to switch to Database Administration, applied for training, was accepted in the nick of the time before all the budget tightening and cancellation in January, enrolled in a 6 month crash course, studied day and night, passed the Microsoft exam and got certified in July. This was a long shot for me and my unemployment money was running out. I was on my second extension. In addition I had constant pressure from my husband.
